She was pleased to see that they believed the assumption, but in truth, her condition was not far off from her clever ruse. The lack of sleep brought with it a headache that left her tipsy with pain every time she stood up. The Child in the Tower 4Drumming her fingers against the arm of the divan, Elvira watched the moon slowly climb into the sky with agonizing impatience. She wondered if Guillermo was sincere in his wish to meet Quasimodo. While Vivi had never known her brother to be cruel or under-handed, she was well aware of the notion that he could never bring himself to keep a secret from their father. Thankfully it was rare when such a situation came to light, as Philip Vasquez rarely had time for his younger children. Much of the Count’s day was focused on playing the diplomatic ambassador for Mother Spain, and grooming eldest son Ferdinand for the roll.

The Child in the Tower 3The crowing of roosters and barking dogs heralded the coming of the dawn. Quickly the menials got to their tasks. Maids bustled about the manor, letting the sunshine in, and clearing away any dust that had fallen during the night. The cook struggled to get breakfast started, silently cursing himself for oversleeping. It was just another day in the Vasquez household.

Great news, everyone. The Rose Stone Auction ended, with £122.00 being the final bid. Thats atleast $200.00 American dollars, and $220.00 Canadian. All of it will be going to the Protues Syndrome Foundation. Hooray for eBay!!!

Cool. One of the main characters is a thirteen year old Spanish countess named Elvira Vasquez. Though her family is your typical nobility, Vivi is energetic, willfull, and very inquisitive. Her curiosty is piqued when she spots a small form moving about the gargoyles of Notre Dame, and sets out to investigate. Its then she discovers the child in the tower Frollo was so keen on keeping silent about.

Despite what I said earlier, I'll be arriving home by thursday. Fear not, my dear. You shall see it.
